Wayward Pines Memories
According to his false memories, Bucky Barnes was born and raised in Wayward Pines, Idaho. He was an all-around good guy: friendly, personable, a great athlete and a pretty sharp student. After high school, he went off to join the army with his best pal, Steve Rogers. After the two of them served their country, they returned to Wayward Pines. Bucky's been working as a mechanic ever since. Comment here if you'd like to plot any false memories between your character and Bucky! Current memories include:
Canon Memories As of 2/20/17, Bucky remembers large chunks of his life up to his recapture by HYDRA in 1945. Or, rather, he remembers the most notable events, and has a few vivid recollections of various wartime missions and pre-war shenanigans here and there. His memories of life as the Winter Soldier are still largely muddled and hazy and are slowly piecing together, save for a few clear memories. Most of what he can recall from the Winter Soldier years consists of familiar feelings and abstract imagery, devoid of much context. Flashes of the helicarrier fight and the fall of Project Insight have returned to him. His most recent memories-- those from between Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War-- are the most vivid and uninterrupted. When Bucky arrived in Wayward Pines (2/1/17), he could only remember the following, to start:

" I don't do that anymore. "
Appearance & Fashion For the canonblind: Bucky has A COOL ROBOT ARM. He will try to keep it covered as much as possible, but, you know. It's there. It's a thing. He has no Wayward Pines-approved memories associated with it, and will usually just give a vague answer about army injuries to explain it, if/when asked. LUCKILY, Bucky's usual way of dressing can easily fit in here, though he is also trying to stick to how he figures the Bucky of his false Wayward Pines memories would. Luckily for Bucky and his hair, this means he gets to go a bit grunge. So, it's basically a lot of flannel, a lot of denim-- sometimes ripped, even though that's a fashion choice he doesn't quite get-- and a lot of tees and 3/4 sleeve shirts. And when he's working, he's wearing a mechanic's shirt, usually over a long-sleeved thermal shirt or a henley. And more jeans. JEANS 24/7. A HANDY VISUAL AID (insert cool robot arm over that left one): ![]() ![]() Oh and he does try to keep the robot arm covered as much as possible by wearing long sleeves and a glove whenever possible. But it's not always possible to keep it hidden. AND I just decided that his closet is full of t-shirts with bands and references he largely doesn't understand. A LOT OF 80s STUFF. He definitely has an ironic D.A.R.E shirt that he doesn't get the point of. |

Wayward Pines Memories
Memory Preferences: I'm looking for Bucky's alternate history in Wayward Pines to be something more reflective of how his life could have gone, if he hadn't been captured and brainwashed by HYDRA. So I'm looking for positive associations, big brotherly sentiments, etc. more than angsty memories.
I'm open to pretty much anything, but I'm not going to be playing with the false memory mechanic too much with Bucky. So basically, we can establish mutual past encounters/memories/etc that your character may remember, but Bucky may not remember as many of them, himself.
